The only way to see this busy city on a day trip is with My Moris – A walking tour of the capital’s history and street food. Our guide Shakti showed us around the city and we marvelled at her extensive knowledge of Mauritian culture. A three hour tour rushed by and Shakti gave us an overview of architecture, history, religions, languages spoken in Mauritius, cooking, and answered every searching question we had.

We also unearthed hidden street food gems of Port Louis which included a delicious Chinese Dim Sum eatery with three tables in a 5ft wide hidden alleyway.
